As part of the Damco International Graduate Programme, Damco Shanghai Branch is currently hiring talented and highly motivated individuals in the role of Ocean Pricing & Capacity Management Chief located in Ningbo.
Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:
？To execute and manage ocean local procurement, pricing , product development and project planning across branch.
？To define and drive commercial direction for product.
？Assist ocean manager to monitor overall P/L responsibility for the OCE product within the branch.
Key Responsibilities:
？Be a constructive, engaged and critical partner to the NAS Damco OCEAN organization.
？Develop strategies, targets and budget recommendations.
？Ownship of ocean freight routing design for specific location geography
？Establish and maintain good relationship with local carrier, master coloader, agency, terminal and etc.
？Execute procurement, capacity management on behalf of the branch.
？Lead and execute daily ocean pricing like spot inquiry, RFQ, tender and etc.
？Take an active role in business development of the product. Engage with sales and customer service to visit key clients and assist with materialization of target for the OCE product.
？Monitor and drive sales results on ocean product
？Develop OCE product at both top down level and local requirement level ,ensure structure selling material is built up for promotion
？Execute other commercial strategy implementation in the NAS region for the DAMCO OCEAN product.
？Contribute to global DAMCO OCEAN direction, when relevant or where required by DAMCO Centre
？Management of all direct reports.
Requirements for the position:
？Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
？Preferred working or studying experience in foreign countries and a good understanding of cultural differences.
？1 or 2 years working experience in logistics industry preferred in international ocean freight forwarder
？Basic product and industry knowledge
？Good financial understanding
？Analytical skills
？Basic Negotiation skills
？Basic People management experience
？Fluent spoken and written English
？Relevant theoretical business education (bachelor/masters)
