The HR organisation of the Future will work across brands, geographies and cultures to support one global Maersk. Next to the?Centres?of?Expertise?(CoE)?and the strategic HR Business Partners, the People Partnering?Organisation?is the largest part of the new HR?organisation?and the closest to our people.?To enable our?future?HR service delivery?model,?we are establishing?three People Partnering Hubs covering geographical regions: Bangalore, India, covering Asia Pacific; Lisbon, Portugal, covering Europe & Africa; and San José, Costa Rica, covering the Americas.?
We are looking for People Advisors to join the People Advisory Services team in China to support the transition to a new HR delivery model and global implementation of Workday.

What we offer

You will be part of the team that is the first point of contact for employees and leaders, helping them solve HR queries online, on the phone or on site. Whether their issue is big or small, our people should feel cared for just the same and your role is making sure they have a great experience when they reach out to HR. You will furthermore support the delivery of the HR Cycle with administrative tasks related to onboarding, annual performance management, job moves, exit, etc.

You will join the team as we prepare to go live with Workday and will therefore be initially spending your time on supporting implementation related activities and your colleagues in the other HR delivery teams. This is also an excellent opportunity to start familiarising yourself deeply with the future processes, technology (Workday and our knowledge and case management tool) ahead of the People Hub being fully operational.

The role is based in Chengdu

Key responsibilities

You will join the People Advisory team early on as we prepare to go live with the new HR service delivery model, processes and technology. In this time, you will be spending your time on implementation related activities such as aadministrative support, technology and process testing, language translation verification, creating local SOP’s, training logistics, etc. Once the People Hub is fully operational, your role as a People Advisor will be to solve the HR-related queries of our employees and managers and make sure their interaction with HR results in a great experience.

For this you will:

? Own to resolution people’s inquiries about HR policies and procedures, like compensation, benefits, performance management, leave, payroll and HR applications, and other matters related to the employee lifecycle
? Respond to our employees and managers through a variety of channels (HR case management, phone, email, live chat)
? Guide employees and managers in using self-service in Workday and other HR systems, to facilitate technology adoption
? Promote the usage of the employee HR Portal by providing guidance on HR knowledge content, such as global & local HR policies, How-To, etc.
? Manage HR data quality and perform transactions in Workday and other HR applications
? Work together with People Partners and functional specialists to solve complex queries
? Prepare and handle HR documentation
? Coordinate and administer onboarding and offboarding processes
? Support improvement activities to simplify and standardize the HR processes
? Deliver on high employee satisfaction, accuracy and timeliness

Who we are looking for (the ideal candidate is/has…):

Saying that you should be customer-oriented is an understatement: we need you to be passionate about employee experience! You have high energy and drive and efficiently manage resolution of every employee query.

As for the skillset and experience, we are looking for:

? 4+ Years of experience in an HR role
? Passion for delivering great employee experience
? Fluent in English and/or Mandarin
? Knowledge of local labour law would be beneficial
? Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to manage conflict, and attention to detail
? Drive to identify needs, investigate options, seek solutions and partner with other HR colleagues to resolve issues
? Ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
? Ability to be an engaged member of a virtual team
? Closure orientation and low tolerance for delays and deviations
? A degree in Human Resources or similar and knowledge of HR concepts are a strong plus
? Experience working with Workday systems is preferred.
