Job Summary:

This position as Specialist Purchasing is responsible for order management and order implementation with utilization of all related IT systems and tools according to the GSP (Global Sourcing Policy).

Further this position supports the strategic souring staff with handling of order acknowledgements, blocked invoices, compliance checks and ensuring on time delivery as well as the reduction of back orders

The Specialist Purchasing is in daily contact with his/her/its suppliers to identify potentials and issues as early as possible.

    

This position’s key responsibilities are to:

• Places purchase orders based on purchase requisitions and ensure the order management, in exceptions based on demands. 
• Tracks on-time delivery performance of goods and service, quality related issues, solving of exception messages and overdue orders.
• Operates or supports an active supplier management scheme by passing on information, work with commodity team to identify potential savings. 
• Performs material availability analyses, ongoing control, adjustment of MRP parameters and master data as well as expediting purchase and supply sources.
• Monitors raw material inventory, service levels and undertaking intelligent inventory management to guarantee high supply levels with minimum inventories in a cost-effective way.
• Maintains highly transparent communication to both internal and external parties and interfaces during entire process time.
• Analyzes future supply shortages and investigate remedies with the supplier, planning, production, quality, and supporting functions. 
• Actively contributes to cooperation with all others involved and with interface partners and forwarding all relevant information and pointing out process problems.
• Escalate and present situation to Team Leader if abovementioned measures are undertaken and unsuccessful.

Minimum Level of Education (for Job): Bachelor     

Years of Relevant Work Experience Required: . NO Expereince required 

Language Skills: Good Written English Skills; CET4; Korean Speaking skills is a plus

Software skills: MS Office, SAP and Ariba (preferred)
