Main Purpose of the Position:

To deliver the project end-item within budget and time limitations, in accordance with technical specifications and in fulfilment of profit objectives. The position is ultimately responsible for project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning project activities, tasks, and end-results, which includes creating the work breakdown, schedule, and budget.
• Selecting and organizing the project team.
• Interfacing with and influencing stakeholders.
• Negotiating with and integrating functional managers, suppliers, users, and top management.
• Providing contact with the customer.
• Monitoring project status.
• Identifying technical and functional problems.
• Solving problems directly or knowing where to find help.
• Dealing with crises and resolving conflicts.
• Recommending termination or redirection of efforts when objectives cannot be achieved.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or above, competent at English, knowledge of mechanical engineering
• At least 8 years working experience, 5 years as APQP Project Manager in automotive industry, PMP certification is a plus
• Flexible and adaptable, preference for initiative and leadership
• Effective communicator and integrator
• Able to balance technical solutions with time, cost, and human factors
• Well organized and disciplined
• A generalist rather than a technical specialist
• Able to devote most of his time to planning and controlling
• Able to identify problems and to make decisions
• Understanding of the organization and the business
• Understanding of full value chain – marketing, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and the concept of profitability
• Ability to translate business requirements into project requirements
