Purpose of Job: Managing the BU Pigments indirect spend across China/Asia for the respective indirect categories. For example, mechanical and electrical equipment for manufacturing operations and services for business support.  A Business Partner for Key internal stakeholders (plant leaders, functional colleagues and business managers).  Sourcing activities for regional spend (China, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, etc.) and when possible leading the Best Cost Country sourcing activities.

Function 1：Procurement and Sourcing Activities

• Develops and implements sourcing strategies for the category and region in accordance with BU/SU targets
• Manages supplier relationships and leads negotiations with suppliers within the defined sourcing strategy
• Establishes, manages and directs agreements. Authorization is based on Prokura
• Manages and drives both sustainability, purchasing excellence and compliance

Function 2： Supply Market/ Major Sourcing Project Management and Reporting

• Monitors the supply markets and demand trends and initiates respective impact on category activities
• Initiates and leads sourcing projects
• Ensures regular reporting of market trends and ensure application in global / regional strategies
• Ensures proper price projection, forecasting and market supply trends for key spend segments

Function 3: Business Alignment and Partnership

• Ensures alignment of regional sourcing strategies with business strategies / needs and strategy governance
• Actively communicates and aligns with stakeholders including senior management
• Actively supports innovation projects and New Business Development activities and ensures Procurement support
• Initiates cross-functional teams and projects teams and participates in them

Supplier Management & Sustainability

• Manages key supplier relationships across all management levels
• Leads Key Supplier Management program within the category
• Manages and reports about supplier risks with focus on sustainability aspects
• Manages sustainability activities and supplier performance

Qualifications:

• Degree in business management / engineering or similar graduation
• Sound experience (5+ years) and broad knowledge in business/operations/SCM/procurement position is required
• Experience with working with stakeholders and suppliers in other countries, e.g. Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea

Fluent in English, analytical and negotiation skills, additional language skill is preferred
