-Function: China Sourcing Team

-Location: Beijing

Position Summary

The Executive is responsible for supporting Global Category Team and stakeholder to procure promotioanl items from China and other BCOS regions (excl India). He/She will work clsoely in collaboration with the strategic direction defined by the Global Category Teams to effectively manage the spend category with supplies from China and other BCOS regions (excl India); leverage knowledge of the environment and engaging with stakeholders with manufacturers with support to Complement Global Sourcing Strategies; enable and deliver business value and savings creating alternatives to Single Supplier Situation providing competitive advantage and contribute to the mitigation of risk through efficient and compliant sourcing.

The Executive will manage his/her portfolios to ensure implementation of the Sourcing Strategy and supplier relationship management activities to ensure supply (on time, in full quantity and in good quality) applying the Nestlé Standardized Procurement Model.

A day in the life of...

-Enable and Implement China Specific sourcing strategy for NPD for the spend category, in alignment with the 7 SSS Process. With the total number of 6 abobe marekt categories under Promotioanl Items scope. The Executive will work closely with Above Market teams and At market to develop alternative Suppliers in the Category adding Cost Efficiency and techology upgradation with project teams.

-Scout the Chinese environment and explore alternative suppliers and develop suppliers, understanding their challenges, driving, inspiring and Engaging them to Nestle buyers and Technical and Supply Chain requirements. Eliminate waste by approaching them directly instead of traders in a very Entrpreneurial and sustainable manner.

-Ensure continuous Business Connectivity interacting with relevant Business Partners and Stakeholders to provide category direction and influence pertinent strategy and decisions in the business.

-Develop advanced category knowledge by ensuring people capabilities and skills are in place. Be the ear, eyes and legs for the NPD team in China.

-Promote and ensure Compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies, standards and Procurement Policy, Procurement Standardized Model, Nestlé Supplier Code, Best Practices, etc.

-Handle all Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) taking supplier development and management actions. For vendors where SRM Experts are appointed, agree category targets with SRM Experts. In partnership with SRM Experts lead the planning and regular contract SLA reviews with suppliers and other functional partners such as quality.

-Ensure effective contract management follow up activities are in place (e.g. Supplier agreements, SAP Contracts, purchasing info records, master data).

-Prepare and execute negotiation events seeking best TCO contracts and beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers (approved by Category Leader)

-Confirm scale of contribution, report and deliver on category target agreed with the GCL, managing maximum value creation. Handle Business Planning and Price Forecast Actions.

-Over a sustained more than 3-4 years period has demonstrated success in delivering Cost Savings, competitive advantage to the business through procurement in Global/Complex structures.

- Demonstrated Category Expertise with Market Competitors and Best practices insights having experience in transition of Categories above market and in aggregation and leverage and successful experience as Category Buyer

-Has worked in complex environment and operating across multiple countries in supporting Global Category Teams.

-Has managed projects smoothly cross different countries and functions, categories and geographies

-Experience in leading and working with virtual teams proactively.

-Experience in assisting team to manage supplier development initiatives and in managing supplier relationships

-Good Ownership, Energy delivery and takes personal accountability with an attitide to add value.

-Good market insight and understanding of drivers of market forces and its impact. Thorough understanding of business/market requirements including the urgency and ability to respond with speed and pragamtism.

-Resolution orientation and ability to get to the root cause on problem solving.
