You will be executing the primary design for MV switchgear project, solving the primary design issues related during production, solving the primary design issues related during the site installation and commissioning, providing the technical support for internal and external functions.

This is a Primary Design Engineer role, reporting to Engineering Manager II in Business Area – Electrification, Distribution Solutions, located in Xiamen, China.

- Handling the project primary design and management related.
- Training the new engineers.
- Being responsible for the project manager Job (assign separately).
- Optimizing the primary solution.
- Defining and optimizing the design guide.
- Providing the technical support.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical design or relevant discipline.
- At least 2 years’ experience in mechanical or electrical design in power product area.
- Good experiences in switchgear design, comprehensive knowledge of medium voltage switchgear.
- Good English listening, speaking and writing skill.
- Familiar with the manufacturing process of switchgear.
- Familiar with related technical standards.
- Must have strong cost and quality awareness.
