Job Description

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be based in Zhuhai. Responsible for supplier development in a manufacturing or service process since from NPI stage; works with suppliers to continuously improve performance, implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Work with teams in identification of risks/hazards relative to supplier materials of new product designs, processes, and applications
• Provides cross functional support to select, approve and develop suppliers to meet customer and business needs
• Material (Component) Qualification---Implement PPAP & APQP
• Material quality Issue Solution and Trouble Shooting.
• Support Supplier CIP (Continuous Improvement Program.
• Leads the Supplier Requests for Change process, ECO/ECN/SCR implementation verification
• Performs quality audits on suppliers to assure products and services meet International Organization for Standards (ISO) and regulatory standards. And support annual maintenance audit for existing suppliers with SQE.
• Uses statistical techniques and professional independent judgment to analyze data for supplier process improvement
• Develops and leads execution of process validations and tests; analyzes resulting data and document results.
• Provides engineering support to Receiving Inspection including statistical analysis, measurement systems analysis, Gage R&R studies and inspection procedures
• Participates in Material Review Board decisions on supplier provided parts and services
• Performs Supplier Rating System evaluation.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Bachelor or college degree in related field or equivalent experience;
• 3 years engineering experience or experience in related field; or 2 to 4 years quality engineering experience and/or training;
• Fluent oral English with good communication skills, Must be computer literate
• Use of the following tools are required:  SPC, GR&R, AR&R, DOE, APQP, PPAP, CP and FMEA.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Good leadership ability
• Have ISO9001 and ISO14001 basic knowledge training and certificate. It’s better have OHSAS18001,SA800 relative training or certificate.
• Have quality control consciousness.
