Job Summary:

Acts as the Metals & Combustion Expert to work with the APAC businesses & Global Technology team to develop new combustion applications from early stage ideas to commercialization. Provide technical support in the replication of Product & Service Offerings (PSOs) to and from other regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Track the target segments and identify customer needs in key combustion markets such as glass, nonferrous and steel

Develop new industrial gas applications to meet market needs. Work at lab, pilot and full commercial scales to develop new offerings.

Finalize the design of process, and work with the equipment team to design and install site application systems. Conduct the startup at the customer locations with the team.

Take the technical lead to replicate offerings to/from other regions to meet the local market needs.

Key Capabilities:

MS required. PhD preferred. Major in Thermal Engineering or other relevant fields. 8+ years of relevant working experience as process engineer in industries such as steel, glass, aluminum, or secondary nonferrous.

Expertise in fundamentals and applications of combustion is a must. Demonstrate expertise in combustion processes. Should have demonstrated hands-on field experience.

Be able to foresee macro-trends of target industries and identify technology opportunities from business perspective

Must be innovative, strong problem solver and results-driven. Can work well with customers as well as internal market and business development staff.

Must be able to provide technical sales support and process start up assistance.

Strong written and spoken communications in English are essential.
