Job Title: Supply Chain Planner

Location: Suzhou

Direct Report to : National Supply Chain Manager - Australia / NZ

Purpose of the Job: With minimal supervision, this position assists the National Supply Chain Manager – Australia/NZ with achieving Werner Co Australia Pty Ltd goals by attaining inventory, warehousing, transportation and forecasting related objectives for externally produced products. This is accomplished utilizing DRP and related systems, using effective communication with external suppliers and by regular contact with the Australian warehouse operators.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

1. Act as initial Werner Co contact for outsourced warehouses on issues pertaining to order processing, reverse logistic queries, discrepancies, damages and any other supply chain related concerns.
2. Maintain stock levels in accordance with safety quantities and forecast by placing orders with suppliers, providing shipping direction to Werner’s Suppliers and, where necessary, through inter warehouse transfers within Australia.
3. Inventory reconciliations as necessary between Werner Co and third party systems, including product damage processing.
4. Monitor inbound shipments to ensure they are on time, coordinate delivery to the correct location and keep all stakeholders updated through Excel or system generated reports.
5. Coordinate and communicate with customers and suppliers for all Australian and New Zealand FOB orders.
6. Process receipts and issues for outsourced warehouses that are not linked to the Werner Co JDE system – (Darwin Warehouse).
7. Review late customer order reports and follow-up as necessary coordinating information back and forth as appropriate with Customer Care to ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Provide solutions and recommendations on supply chain matters for internal customer enquiries.
9. Produce a monthly forecast report for Australian and NZ warehouses and carry out any forecast adjustments requested by the Australian management team for promotional activity or changes in sales trends.
10. Monitor sales trends against forecast and submit recommendations to the National Supply Chain Manager when a change in forecast may be required.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education: One to two years’ experience in Inventory Control, Planning or Procurement, Transportation Environment or related field. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment. English Language Skills (Written & Spoken) Associates degree or comparable work experience required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
