About the role:

The Food Team will create/implement and support a food and beverage program in our existing office in Beijing. The program includes or may include daily meal services, DIY options, culinary infrastructure and experiential events. The service coordination and management involve industrial knowledge, attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and strong communication. This Beijing Food Team will coordinate with the larger global program, and partner with internal business partners to systematize and execute high-level goals as well as day-to-day operations.


What this job involves:

1. Create and execute annual and quarterly program overviews by following the global program guidelines and delegate manageable action plans to the culinary crew.

2. Keep seeking for improvement and developing new systems and tools which produce

foundational alignment and efficiencies

3. Proactively manage employee communications, create systems to track employee happiness and progression.

4. Foster relationships with vendors (both on-site pantry-assisting team and food vendors) and strategic partners.

5. Compare vendor pricing and value (triple bottom line: people, planet, profit) in all areas of purchasing (food, equipment, etc.), manage vendor contracts in accordance with company policies.

6. Work to expand offerings to match company values and employee preferences.

7. Ensure high standards for variety, nutrition, creativity and presentation.

8. Develop and oversee food safety/sanitation practices, pandemic prevention and control measures and processes, and ongoing compliance.

9. Provide input on kitchen/pantry layout for new facility including equipment, station diagrams, storage, etc.

10. Keep seeking opportunities in and implementing green practices and environmental sustainability initiatives.

11. Work with China Workplace Manager and Finance team to forecast budget and manage the spending to meet the financial goals

12. Manage budget using strategic purchasing, efficient kitchen systems, creative menus and excellent vendor relations.

13. Support to create, implement and expand food program values: influencing menu creation, purchasing, employee health and wellness, conservation, sustainability and service.

Working Conditions:

· 1. 70% of time moving and communicating; 30% of time sitting in meetings and at the computer.

· 2. Excellent attendance and punctuality is required with schedule flexibility determined by business needs.

1. A university degree or professional qualification in engineering/facilities management;

2. Over 3 years practical experience in facilities operations;

3. Interpersonal skills with a strong client focus.

4. Experience with performance based service contracts and vendor management

5. Knowledge of local occupational safety requirements

6. Ability to work within a budget

7. Demonstrated initiative

8. Strong written and oral communication skills.

9. Ability to solve problems
