POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operation Supervisor serves as a coordinator between international customers, the ESG International Sales and Operations group, DSI (Dover Shanghai Industries Co.), and the local China supply base. The Operation Supervisor works with the International Sales Team to provide timely quotations which are in alignment with operational costs and lead times. In order to achieve this, the individual will work with the International Operations team and local manufacturing to assure that costs are maintained at a competitive level. In addition, the individual reviews customer orders for compliance, processes orders, researches delivery options and ensures orders and corresponding documentation are delivered as required and in full compliance of company rules and procedures. The Operation Supervisor will also work with the local manufacturing base to help resolve compliance or delivery issues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (other duties may be assigned):

· Acts as the communication lead for order fulfillment between the US based International team, DSI, and local supply base by providing prompt, clear and concise electronic and verbal communications.

· Works with International sales team to provide responses to RFQs / tenders from international customers. Provides customers with product literature and promotional items when requested.

· Processes customer orders to convert to internal orders for DSI and the local manufacturing base. Works to assure that local supplied product is in conformance with ESG requirements.

· Works with the ESG and DSI Finance departments to confirm terms of sale and support the processing of invoicing and payments. Assures compliance with all ESG and DSI procedures and guidelines including but not limited to pricing structure, sales processes, shipping configuration methods and FCPA regulations.

· Organizes shipments with international freight forwarders and the DSI logistics department. Prepares the invoice and packing list and assures compliance with the individual terms of payment and sale.

· Works with all parties in support of daily production, supply / inventory plan and resolves compliance and delivery issues to assure that orders are delivered as required.

· Provides assistance with troubleshooting of quality concerns, administration of warranty policy and execution of warranty campaigns

· Assists with the gathering of global market intelligence concerning competitors, suppliers and other potential business partners.

· Coordinates travel and accompanies the US based International team to customer and supplier visits as well as provides translation and interpretation services as required

· Assists International Sales team with 3rd Party due diligence reviews on an ongoing basis to assure that FCPA documentation as well as Dealer and other 3rd Party contracts are maintained in accordance with Dover requirements.

· Supports Global Product Management team with market intelligence and customer trends in the development of product road maps, annual strategy plan and annual operations plan. Provides support for the development of literature, trade shows and the dealer website to drive successful marketing campaigns

· Tracks and maintains market, sales and shipping information for sales forecasts and results in support of monthly status reports of the sales team and War Room presentations.

· Leads the data entry for DSI ERP system with respect to sales transactions for AR, AP and tax records including required audits

· Manages operating budget of ESG Asia team to assure annual targets are achieved.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

· Ethical behavior must always be the primary focus while fostering a safe working environment

· Extensive Customer Service experience

· Import/Export knowledge with knowledge of FCPA filing requirements. Experience working for a US Corporation would be considered a plus.

· Basic understanding of China tax requirements and regulations especially VAT

· Experience with logistics processes and documentation

· Experience with International Financial instruments such as Letters of Credit and bank drafts a plus

· Attention to detail, strong communication and negotiation skills

· Excellent planning, management and organizational skills

· Fluent in spoken & written English and Chinese (Mandarin). Strong translation & interpretation skills (English to Chinese and vice versa)

· Strong analytical and computer skills required for managing Bills of Materials, costs and pricing (i.e. Microsoft Excel)

· Ability to Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

· Flexible team player, hardworking, with a continuous improvement mentality

· Proactive with strong initiative, excellent problem-solving skills

· Able to travel locally at short notice but also outside of China if required

· University degree preferred preferably in Business Administration or legal arena

· 5-7 years related experience
