The Automation technical program manager will be based in Zhuhai

General Purpose Responsibilities:       

Search and identify automation opportunities within the (Mexican / EMEA / Asia) regions Evaluate feasibility of automation opportunities from technical, financial and strategic perspective Manage automation projects from end to end (since supplier selection till system release to internal customer Interfase between automation supplier and internal customer Provide technical guidance and insights about automation approach, mechanism, electric systems and safety features Establish, maintain and drive continuous enhancement to automation guidelines Explore, benchmark and drive continuous innovations to smart automation concepts and applications  Establish partnership and collaborations with site automation teams. Maintain regular cross-sharing & explore product & process design improvement opportunities leveraging AME DFX and Manufacturing Process teams. Guarantee and validate that automation projects fully compliance to Flex safety policy and local safety laws Execute projects according AFPLC Document Monitor and evaluate the automation project progress according to the plan defined and provide direction and support to overcome obstacles and reaction plans to mitigate impacts Manage and present information about the project to internal customer Maintain records and KOIs about the automation deployment as well as supplier performance Create and maintain procedures, templates and checklist properly documented in the DMS

• Methodic and professional project management
• Meaningful selection of project with proven benefits for the company
• Demonstrate with KOIs the results of the Automation program
• Selection and develop suppliers
• Keep informed to top management about the progress of projects

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Bachelor degree in engineering, major in automation / mechanical / mechatronics related
• Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience, including broad based management and supervision.
• Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge
