Main purpose of the role:

  

The position is established as the 4PL Regional Operations Key Account Manager for one of the world’s largest sporting brands. The role encompasses the complete operational ownership for 100% of business activities undertaken by DSV Lead Logistics that includes the direct ownership of the End to End Supply Chain Management in a 4PL Control Tower function.

  

 

  

As a 4PL Control Tower Operation, the role takes on the direct ownership of management of all LSP’s, 2PL providers, Factories, Customs Brokers and Inland Terminals, and all customer Destination Market Communications and Escalation as a direct representative of the DSV Lead Logistics customer.

  

 

  

The Management of all connected providers to the 4PL shall include, but not limited to:

  

• Customer Operational Excellence and Relationship Management

• Destination performance Management

• MBR, QBR and Annual Performance Reviews with the DSV’s customer and LSP’s

• Management of DSV’s customer final 3PL Warehouse In-Take Distribution Center Operations

• Destination budget management by Region and Customer Code

  Primary duties and responsibilities:

            

• Responsible for operations Destination within the defined Geographical scope

• To establish the Operations Process and Business Plan that takes ownership of enforcing Global SOP and maintaining Destination specific SOP

• To ensure operational excellence in operations across all LSP’s and Destination Market entities

• To drive for process & system development initiatives

• Establish, maintain and own both internal and external KPI’s and recommend process improvements and adopt lean logistics practices and a continuous improvement mindset. Ensure that KPIs are produced in full and on time.

• Present and deliver KPI Performance results at LSP / Destination Market and 4PL Level across all entities engaged in the KPI SLA Agreement Process

• Prepare or develop detailed Procedures, Checklists, training/communications materials or other which reflect best practices, client requirements or regulatory requirements not being addressed by existing materials.

• Continuously plans, assigns, directs and enforces daily work with efficient process execution and productivity based on management set expectations.

• Works with management to propose/recommend changes to maintain and enhance operations.

• Execute assigned continuous enhancement projects as assigned by management.

• Travels to physical LSP Operational locations for process audits and enhancements as requested by Management.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, conferences and seminars.

• Identifying potential gaps in existing procedures, systems, and tools or related.

• Propose strategies to close any perceived gaps.

   

   

   

  Requirements:

                                    

• Solid knowledge of freight management, Purchase Order Management in a 2PL, 3PL and 4PL capacity
• Experience in Operational level 2PL Ocean Freight services is preferred
• Experience in serving Origin and Destination customer in retail sector is recommended
• Experience in Global key account management role
• Strong operational know how
• Sound process & project management skills
• Strong ability to define, train, develop and document operational processes and procedures
• Strong Mentoring and Development Skills
• Ability to identify and drive operational improvement areas towards Innovation development
