Job Description

The Automation Engineer – Mechanical will be based in Zhuhai.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Create concepts, CAD design and planning of custom automations (3D)
• Create and prepare 2D drawings for production and assembly
• Develop, install and maintain PLC, Vision and Robot softwares
• Support Factory Approval Test (FAT) and Site Approval Test (SAT) processes
• Install and support ?off the shelf” systems
• Work according to CE regulations, prepare CE declaration for projects
• Understand and work according to the European (EN) and local standards
• Identify suitable solutions in respect of customer requirements
• Work together with the design, programming, IT and construction team
• Communicate with customers and departments if needed. Participate in onsite meetings and telcos
• Monitor current solutions and propose improved designs
• Record, analyze and interpret test data
• Create and maintain work instructions, manufacturing documents, operating and maintenance manuals
• Develop the necessary automatization solutions for R&D projects
• Provide field support for automation projects
• Establish, maintain and drive continuous enhancement to automation guidelines
• Drive and maintain compliance of Flex automation design guidelines in automation projects by 3rd party suppliers or internal automation projects
• Explore, benchmark and drive continuous innovations to smart automation concepts and applications
• Operating and developing the company’s quality management and environment protection systems; following the operational rules of the position; keeping the workplace environment in order.
• The employee must be aware of the documents of the company's management system (QMS / EMS / OHSAS) and compliance therewith by, be aware of the role and importance of the activity and its impact on company's quality indicators.
• The responsibility to keep and to be kept the legal requirement of Work and fire safety, Environmental and other regulations. Fulfillment of OHSAS, Environmental and Quality assurance standard requirements in the own authority.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Bachelor degree, major in automation related, mechanical or mechatronics engineering
• Have 8+ related working experience in automation field or equipment engineering
• Good oral English and Chinese
• Have PLC, Vision and Robot programming training, Mechanical drawing software (Solidworks or Inventor), Engineering tools (Fanuc RoboGuide, FlexSim), CE declaration process training experience
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to travel within China region and Asia
• Be motivated and take responsibility for work
