Essential · Bachelor degree in Engineering, software engineering, computer science or similar Desirable · Master degree or above · Basic knowledge of leadership, for example, delegation, coaching Essential: · 5 years+ solid experience in managing the development of iOS, or Android Apps, and web server software。 · Solid experience in Agile development and facilitating scrum master · Solid experience in use of software control systems & issue tracking system such as JIRA · Solid experience of the development tools & deliverables, for example, software architecture, sequence diagram, DFMEA, good coding practice and so on. · Strong mindset and discipline of software "best practices" for design, coding, testing and configuration management · Performed as main contributor in establishing and approving in-house coding standards and code reviews, ensuring proper use of coding language and documentation · Understanding of cyber security · Solid experience working with suppliers / vendors · Strong ability in project management and facilitating the project progress. Desirable: · Experience with development products following PMP concept & design review process · Proven record working with suppliers to co-development projects on time · Able and willing to coach people, experienced people manager · Experience in development of Home automation, familiar with Zigbee Interaction with internal and external customers, liaison across multiple functional areas. · Open minded, results oriented, proactive, team player, customer focus, dare to challenge & strong mindset of ownership · Encourage “can do” & “go get it” attitude · Good at context switching, and working on multiple concurrent tasks · Able to work under pressure · Excellence communication at reading/written/speaking in English · Strong communication skill with vendors / suppliers

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (Describe the nature, scope, level of improvements to new ideas, etc.) Main Responsibilities: · On-hand product development and sustaining engineering in term of system development · Support and ensure the fulfillment of the main responsibilities and targets of the Systems and software developers of each site, in a coordinated work. Delivery on projects within time and budget to the agreed quality. · Coordination of all activities deployed in the different sites under his/her scope · Following the same Schneider Electric OCP procedures, tools and methodologies in the products development processes to ensure the following of the rules and best practices of the company · Reporting to manager or product development leader about the main R&D activities, as well as, problems, road-blocks, design activities etc. · Set together with Offer Development Manager for the general targets of the Systems and software R&D area · Executing the design verification plans and participating design reviews in different sites · Facilitating the role of Scrum Master · Providing feedback in term of product development and people management · Take complete ownership of existing offer People Management & Development · Delegation & coaching of people · Feedback team members performance for talent succession & appraisal purposes · Build and maintain working relationships at all levels to ensure harmonious and productive collaboration Customer & Supplier Relationship Management · Maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers on a day to day basis · Ensure sound understanding of the customer, including structure, politics, business processes and expectations · Facilitate a positive and professional customer relationship, building trust, confidence and respect · Initiate discussion with the customer to clarify needs and gain agreement re key design and delivery issues · Identify gaps in customer specifications and seek resolution · Provide Project Managers with up to date information regarding project progress / changes · Manage customer expectations re design feasibility / delivery · Communicate design concepts to supplier and encourage their input into the design process Business Partnering · Ensure open communication and maintain positive working relationships within the business · Build trust, credibility within the business · Act as a trusted business partner in providing quality and timely design advice (e.g., design specifications / regulations) · Review field return products and provide technical solutions for product failures as required · Undertake technical assessment and evaluation of product for specials applications as required Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental Management · Understands and implements company HSE policies · Complies with company and customer HSE standards and policies · Actively support operational work systems that ways to improve current ways of working with external / internal customers Product Evolution · Engage in and complete Product Evolution as directed by team leaders, ensuring a high standard of work in all cases · Own and manage communication with other functions and within R&D as required in each Product Evolution exercise Product Concept Design · Interpret customer requirements into Systems and Software deliverables (including integration with fsoftware / hardware) and determine gaps in specification · Development of Project Plan to ensure design timeframes are line with customer milestones to ensure on time delivery · Proactively offer recommendations to address gaps in customer specifications · Utilise the appropriate processes to identify risks associated with the desired design · Ensure that the concept design · Meets the customer specification · Consider issues of backwards compatibility & future needs wherever relevant · Ensure design patents are created and registered where possible and applicable & examine no patents infringements Product Detailed Design · Ensure software revisions are updated from concept to release (establish parts and revision tracking) · Conduct detailed design of products, including software aspects, in accordance with all internal systems and procedures. · Identify and resolve design issues through collaboration with suppliers · Participate in cross functional team design reviews including design for manufacturing / assembly · Ensure H,S,W & E issues are implemented within the design · Ensure all the code is in the appropriate config system · Ensure components are detailed and ensure work has been completed accurately · Understand and communicate the impact of cost implications of the design · Analyse and interpret Test Results and make modifications as necessary with consultation with Design Team Leaders Program Delivery · Demonstrate a sound understanding of customer key deliverable dates · Liaise with the product management team and related engineering functions for effective handover of design for the implementation · Ensure the amount of patches / fixes after design delivery are limited Governance · Ensures that all activities conform with relevant government regulations, company policies, standard and ethics · Identifies opportunities for improvement of work practices and processes
