1. Position Name:  Finance Controller, China – Guangzhou JIT Seating Plant

    

Position Focus:

    

Joint Venture Plant Controller role, focusing on oversighting daily operation and financials of joint venture, as well as supporting business growth of Joint Venture.

Responsibilities

    

    

• In charge of the daily operations and controls in Finance accounting and reporting i.e. review, analyze and approve financial reports, provide technical accounting guidance to staff etc.
• To supervise and coordinate the regular accounting work in AR, AP and GL and ensure full spectrum of accounting function is operating effectively.
• To continuously improve Finance related business processes to achieve most efficient & transparent Finance operations while meeting all internal control requirements.
• To lead and supervise structured monthly book closing which not only cross functions within Finance & Control Department but also involves other relevant departments i.e. create month-end closing calendar, monitor period- end closing controls etc.
• To prepare and deliver in a timely manner monthly updated financial forecasts and weekly cash forecast.
• To prepare and deliver in a timely manner annual budget and operating financial plans.
• Support business team on IRR/Payback analysis for new program or investment.
• Review the quotation together with commercial team before sending to customer to ensure a reasonable margin % for new program or ECN.
• Work as a business partner to General Manager and support operation team on cost reduction action plan and margin improvement plan.
• Communication bridge between local JV partner and Lear China, and act as the coordinator for BOD meeting and prepare BOD meeting review material.
• To update PAR periodically and review with operational & commercial team to search opportunity for margin improvement.
• To review company level financial statements and prepare financial statements with detailed supporting for reclassifications, adjustments & reconciliations for GAAP & other timing differences.
• To maintain chart of accounts and lead the compensating controls over the conflicts 'in segregation of duties in Accounting & Reporting function
• To liaise and communicate with other departments, external stakeholders i.e. auditors, tax bureau etc. and seek to resolve all issues and matters arising
• To ensure the Company finance comply with the requirement of CAS, tax law and other rules and regulations

Qualification:

    

    

• Bachelor’s degree or above, above 8 years working experience in Plant. Controllership with min 3 to 5 years compatible experience in an equal position.
• Good knowledge in finance, tax, trade processing, economic and enterprise management, good command of English, PC skills and Accounting software. Have strong communication / inter-personal skills, organized, strong time management skills, an analytical thinker and ability in dealing with people at all levels.
• Familiar with PRC & International accounting practices, knowledge in PRC tax and customs laws & regulations and understand business processes within the Company
• QAD/Hyperion knowledge would be a plus.
