Job target:

Performs and documents all necessary FEA simulations for all mechanical components and systems, i.e. CFD, Thermal, Electric, Structure and NVH simulations, considering safety, feasibility, technology, costs, quality and project timing

Concept:

• Proactive and self-reliant alignment with ME Design Engineers and other disciplines with simulations requests, i.e. Hardware, Software or System discipline

• High quality execution and documentation of FEA simulations

• Self-reliant evaluation and review of simulation results

• Reliable adherence of deadlines and project milestones

• Proactive recommendations regarding design and product enhancements out of simulation results 

• Self-reliant training on new simulation methods, procedures and software tools

• Works as a reliable member of the team and adapt the priorities for reaching the project targets on time

• Proactive interdisciplinary communication and alignment with external partners to reach project goals

Action/Operation:

• Proactive and self-reliant alignment with simulation requesting discipline regarding boundary conditions, modelling approach and timeline

• High quality execution of FEA simulations considering FEA mesh quality checks and choosing of proper modelling approach

• Self-reliant evaluation and review of simulation results with corresponding plausibility check

• Setting up sustainable simulation documentation in form of reports and distribution to stakeholders and requester

• Follow aligned time schedules and project milestones

• Translate simulation results to applicable design and product enhancements, i.e. regarding material savings, cost reduction, weight reduction or performance increase

• Proactive further development of simulation methods and procedures in order to increase reliability of simulations

• Support ME Test Engineer and System Test Engineer with setting up simulation validation tests

• Support external collaborations, i.e. external contractors, suppliers or students with simulation specifications and requirements

Documentation:

• Support definition of ME Project Plan with respect to FEA Simulation

• Support definition of ME Detailed Schedule with respect to FEA Simulation

• Support ME Effort Estimation with respect to FEA Simulation

• Generate FEA simulation reports

• Generate FEA simulation overview table

       Support generation of FEA simulation request

Leadership and Coordination:

• Technical cross functional alignment

• Expert and professional contact person for technical topics for supplier and development partner for internal and external projects

• Coordination of FEA simulation activities under certain boundary condition e.g. control work packages for external supplier

       Support acquisition of new customer projects

Qualifications:

• University degree in mechanical engineering, mathematics, mechatronics, physics or equivalent

• Experience in electric drivetrain development

• Experience in numerical simulations, i.e. CFD, FEM, NVH

• Experience in numerical software tools, i.e. Ansys, OpenFoam

• Knowledge on thermodynamics, structural mechanics and engineering material properties

• High capability to work in a team and good communication skills

• High quality awareness

• Fluent English

 

Optional Qualifications:

• Experience in automotive sector and series development

• Experience in battery development or battery application

• Experience with working in compliance with ISO 26262

• Experience in electrical engineering

• Basic understanding of Li-Ion cell electrochemistry

• Basic understanding in Hardware and electronic circuits, ability to read schematics

资格:

机械工程、数学、机电一体化、物理等相关专业本科以上学历

具有电动传动系统开发经验

具有数值模拟经验，如CFD, FEM, NVH

熟悉数值软件工具，如Ansys, OpenFoam

了解热力学、结构力学和工程材料特性

具有团队合作能力和良好的沟通技巧
