SUMMARY:

Gates is advancing the way the world moves by manufacturing innovative, best-in-class belt drive systems for two-wheelers and powersports vehicles around the world.

The Mobility Marketing Specialist – Greater China position contributes to this global business by developing business analysis for strategic market segments, spreading digital marketing content, coordinating live events, and partnering with influencers to accelerate brand awareness of Gates Carbon Drive and Gates G-Force within China.

To accomplish this, the candidate will collaborate extensively with regional marketing managers, and in-region business development managers. This role reports to the Personal Mobility Strategic Marketing Manager – Asia Pacific.

Based in Shanghai or Suzhou, you will work extensively with the Greater China Marketing organization Collaboration with Global Mobility team in other countries regions will be required periodically.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

BUSINESS ANALYTICS & REPORTING (50%)

• Budgeting, planning & forecasting for mobility business & generating reports to management
• Analyze key marketing metrics and tweak strategy as needed.
• Analyze the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy and offer quarterly reports to the management and executive teams that outline any necessary changes to the digital marketing plan.
• Monitor market intelligence and peers’ movements.

DIGITAL MARKETING & STORYTELLING (30%)

• Content Generation: develop unique, compelling stories in a variety of mediums (written, photo, & video) to highlight the value of Gates mobility products.
• Social Media: develop social media campaigns & curate user-generated content and manage our Gates Carbon Drive & Gates G-Force community on various social media platforms to engage users and create an interactive relationship between consumers and the company. (8 hrs / week)
• PR & Influencer marketing: cultivate relationships with leading media & micro/macro influencers
• Create and manage an online review funnel for building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review timely and with care.
• Advertising: develop & manage ad campaigns that support social media & PR efforts.

LIVE EVENTS (20%)

• Plan & administer Gates presence at live events, including booth design, logistics, materials, coordination with event managers and local sales staff.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in business analytics or social media management
• Able to explain complex social media data in an understandable way
• Proven ability to build social media communities.
• Ability to measure the success of campaigns.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of WeChat, TikTok, and LinkedIn’s advertising platform is required
• Interest in powersports, bicycles, scooter, motorcycles, or familiarity with these markets is a plus.
• Experience working in an international work environment.
