Job Description:

• Implement safety policy and tools to build and develop a safe work environment.
• Lead a production team of 15-20 people.
• Ensure the quality of the production, aiming at always optimizing the consistency of production.
• Accomplish production plan to meet the sales demand as communicated and agreed with Supply Chain.
• Run production optimally, aiming at the highest asset utilization and cost effectiveness.
• Maintain the equipment in good condition.
• Plan Activated Carbon and Ion Exchange Resins feed materials for the operations, and develop purchase specifications as required - with Supply Chain and with the Quality Manager.
• Manage inventory to optimize working capital and the warehouse.
• Ensure input, monitoring and reporting of production records in our Information System (NetSuite).
• Propose and develop improvements to the operation and equipment - in cooperation with the technical experts in Jacobi group.
• Report regularly and proactively KPIs about production performance – in cooperation with the Quality Manager.
• Coordinate investigations of customer complaints, manage solutions and provide response to customers – in cooperation with the Quality Manager
• Proactively carry out additional tasks as required in support of the China operation and for the development of the business.

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ideally in chemical, mechanical or process engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in an operation management role. Experience in industries such as water treatment, chemicals or food will be an advantage
• Effective team player
• Hands on attitude
• Language skill: Fluent oral and written Chinese and English required
• Computer skill: Office software especially Excel skill required
