Location: Shanghai
The Sales Manager II will specifically focus on a growing revenue, developing market segments, developing channel and increasing product/brand recognition in the assigned geographic territory along the goals of Dover and PSG. The Sales Manager will be the key driver for focused operations in the assigned markets and will coordinate efforts with all other areas of Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Finance to service and grow the assigned markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for studying and defining the optimum distribution / market representation model that will maximize revenue and market share in each PSG market
Develop and drive the Go-To-Market strategy for the assigned market(s) and implement and follow the strategy to achieve projected gains
Responsible for the assessment of market potential in each assigned territory and market
Responsible for direct interface with assigned strategic accounts and OEMs with the goal of increasing account penetration, sales and profitability
Executes distribution, market representation growth strategies or changes that have been developed and approved by Sales Management in a professional and timely manner
Continually evaluates distributor performance. Communicates clear expectations to the distributors and coaches them on ways to increase sales effectiveness. Monitors progress and communicates performance deficiencies and action steps to correct said deficiencies in a clear and timely fashion. Works with the distributors on an annual basis to develop a structured and executable business plan
Evaluates and monitors distributor and distributor staff sales acumen as these relate to the assigned product lines. Recommends areas of improvement and timeframes for implementation of improvements as needed
Continually monitors distributor inventory levels and product mix in relation to profitability and market dynamics
Coordinates all training and direct marketing activities (direct mail, trade shows, etc.) within the assigned territory
Responsible for managing a budget in a responsible fashion and for control of costs
Performs market representation analysis on a regular basis in order to maintain a knowledge level of changing business conditions and of best distribution and sales options in any given market
Maintains a focused business perspective by monitoring and staying current on regulatory, technological, economic, competitor, channel and application trends as these relate to the assigned territory to ensure that new business opportunities are capture and existing business is maintained
Implements “Value Added” sales concepts with distributors and distributor staff
Research and understand any external market triggers (regulatory, certifications, alternative technologies, etc.) and establish specific actions and recommendations for Marketing, Product Management, Business Development, Manufacturing and Sales to take advantage of these areas as conditions dictate.
Assist the PSG division’s Product Managers, Business Development, and Engineering teams to develop new products needed for the assigned market(s)
Confers with the Sales, Marketing, and Business Development in the development of marketing strategies and tactics in order to achieve the planned Go-To-Market Strategies
Performs all other duties as assigned
Responsible for drive the team sales strategy and team management.
Qualifications/Requirements
Above college's degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Automatization or related majors.
Minimum 8+ years’ sales experience with fluid handling equipment/products.
Ability to communicate technical concepts, architectures and designs, program strategies, and tactics clearly with good English
Negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial program commitments and expectations
with customers.
