Position : Sourcing Engineer 理工科背景，纺织面料行业经验优先！！！

Reporting : Asia Purchasing and Quality Manager

Location: Shanghai

Duties and tasks:

• Implement the purchasing strategy as decided with Corporate Purchasing Management

• Responsible for identifying suppliers in Asia for all the current ranges and ranges to be developed and coordinating the sourcing activities for assigned portfolio.

• Search for and identify qualified suppliers, able to provide products to fulfil functional specifications

• Propose suitable suppliers and participate in the choice of the supplier/partner in accordance with the company's criteria for quality, cost, environmental and ethical considerations.

• Work together with project manager/R&D/Mkt to finalise the new supplier choice

• Study the feasibility of alternative source for existing items and ensure the most competitive price is achieved, including exploring all the potential suppliers in China and other low cost countries in Asia.

• Work closely with Marketing and suppliers on innovative and new items.

• Manage the relationship with the supplier/partner (as well as disputes) and ensures that the company's requirements and lead times are well understood and approved by the supplier.

• Negotiate prices, lead times and payment terms, and ensure that the company’s best interests are served in the short and long terms

• Fulfil the objective within the lead time and planned savings.

• monthly report to the Purchasing Manager and analysis report, manage purchasing database in the global Purchasing IT systems.

• Regularly visit suppliers and exhibitions

Requirements:

• More than 5years’experience as purchaser.
• Fluent in English and mandarin, good communication skills
• Textile Engineer background is mandatory
• Working experience in multi-national company
• Experience in product development
• Marketing oriented vision of own’s portfolio
• Strong pro-activity and sensibility to innovation and market trends
• Travel frequency 30%
