Functional goal of position:Plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the IT department at China (Zhenjiang, Shanghai, Tjianjin)..; Administer the IT budget, staff and physical facilities of the IT department

Job requirements
Proven senior IT Management experience
A proven track record of driving and defining complex IT strategy
Budgetary experience
Good communication skills
Experience of managing multiple IT disciplines i.e. technical support, application support
A broad understanding of computer systems, applications and operating systems
Educated to degree level in Computer Science or related field
Experience of negotiating with management and managing third parties
Knowledge:
Knowledge of process design.
Knowledge of IT processes.
Methodology: ITIL
Experience in IT environment.
Experience in Project Management.
Languages: Fluent in English (knowledge of German language is an asset)

Main duties
(general job goals) Influence to the overall performance
Responsible for the regional IT Governance:
- Design, document, implement, control and improve IT processes across Aleris Europe.
- Select and implement tools to support the IT processes.
Responsible for defining IT controls and processes in order to reach IT compli-ance
Responsible for running the European IT Project Management Office, including defining PM standards and training and coaching.
Although not part of the Governance job, the Governance Manager, as head of PMO can also be asked to manage projects (European or other).
