The Client:
Our client is a European multinational famous furniture group with a global production and sales set-up. we are looking for an experienced Technical and Quality Manager from furniture to take the lead on the technical development management.
Responsibility:
? Optimisation of products, production processes and technology in regards to total costs
And successfully implement with suppliers. ? Lead one team, report to GM China, one European guy ? Investigate new possibilities - materials, components or production technology
? Support product development in complicated products
? Support supplier improvement programmes such as production line reorganize, production efficiency, value adding production...
? Project manager on specific projects(e.g. sourcing, supplier improvement programme etc)
? Co-operation with Shanghai sourcing office and overseas headquarter
? Co-operate with supplier base
? Responsible for CSR in China
? Experience in managing & leading a Merchandising team (i.e. follow up on orders placed by HQ) &QC-dept.
Profile:
? Both English/Chinese speaking
? 5-10 years of experience with furniture products, production and manufacturing process preferably used to work with high-end products
? Practical orientation
? Relevant technical education or background - technically oriented
? Good communication skills in writing/verbally - English and Chinese
? Good at MS software(PPT/XLS/WORD)
? Good at teamwork, able to work with foreign-owned company - European style of thinking preferred
? Able to travel around
