职位描述

Reporting to the ECC (Environmental Control and Combustion) Asia Pacific VP/GM, the Global LED Line of business leader is responsible for establishing a business growth strategy and managing business performance for the LED business in the region of North American, EMEA and Asia Pacific. The incumbent is responsible for developing a global product strategy for the LED product portfolio; working with the regional sales, channel and product management teams to drive global product line performance

1. Regional/global Strategy Development. Lead the development of the global LED STRAP and associated regional product strategies and roadmaps
- Develop and clearly articulate a growth plan for the regions. Define the market, key competitors, customer buying process and appropriate customer segments
- Identify marketing opportunities by identifying customer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business. Generate forecast assumptions, early product forecast to guide team and management decision making
- Establish clear objectives for and contribute to design of appropriate market research
- Identify and lead regional growth initiatives

2. Product Line Business Performance. Establish annual product line business plan (revenue and operating profit income); and ensure business execution to meet or exceed annual revenue and operating income targets
- Working with the regional LED teams: manage and deliver global LED P&L
- Establish an integrated management operating system with all regions and functional teams to deliver results
- Report on the status of the business in reviews meetings as appropriate with the global and regional organizations
- Work with demand planning organizations to manage the product line demand plan (SIOP) with the factory in China
- Conduct pricing and profitability analysis and implement initiatives to increase profitability
- Ensure effective product launches through cross-functional alignment
- Develop vertical strategies and own their execution
- Drive for continuous product cost reductions, through CE/VE and ISC initiatives
- Deploy value and transactional pricing strategies to enhance product margins


3. New Business Opportunity Development. Working with the regional sales, channel and product teams, develop regionally aligned marketing strategies that target and create new business opportunities; providing support and resources to sales team to identify and close deals.
- Work with the appropriate sales leaders to establish sales goals and targets for sales team consistent with product line strategies and goals
- Support the sales team in developing a consultative selling process for uncovering and winning new business, including strong "value proposition development" for LED products and how they meet customer needs
- In partnership with the regional business teams, build relationships by meeting with senior executives to discuss their business issues, present best practice solutions and convey the value proposition of LED products
- Sustain rapport with key growth accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities

4. New Product Development (NPD). Business ownership for all LED NPD and drive for their on-time and on-budget execution. Provide marketing insights and sales input to support development of strong business cases for future research and new product development initiatives
- Define early product concept/positioning development and refinement
- Ensure future view of regional market needs are considered in the STRAP and Technology development projects
- Collaborating with regional sales and technical staff to clearly define product needs and goals for new and current products
- Liase with NPD and Technology teams, provide effective LoB governance and ensure full cross-functional alignment

5. New Product Introduction (NPI). Work with the global product team, Marketing and Marketing Communications to support the New Product Introduction process.
- Lead the Stage Gate Process for commercialization of products into the region
- Provide regional sales team with tools and resources to market new products
- Work with regional sales leader to establish new product sales goals and targets for sales team

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
- BA/BS degree, MBA preferred.

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
- Ten plus years management experience with P&L exposure and accountabilities.
- Strong (systems/solutions) sales and marketing background; branch management and operations experience, required.
- Profound Lighting / LED / Energy management industry experience, with track record of performance and achieving results
- Global mindset
- Strong industry domain technology competence
- Proven track record in effective cost containment and strong tactical as well as strategic skills required.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to motivate and build high performance, cross-functional teams.
- Leadership experience in global matrix organizations
