About us and the role:

H&M entered China in 2007 and has since grown rapidly. To be able to serve our Chinese customers even better and to strengthen our position on the market we are currently setting up a dedicated China Brand Hub. The China Brand Hub will function as an extension of the global HQ and have the responsibility to strengthen the brand, customer offer & customer experience in China.

The Marketing team in H&M’s China Brand Hub will be responsible to strengthen the H&M brand in China through strategic Marketing efforts. Ensuring that we, through creating modern and relevant communication, acquire and retain customers. 

We are now looking for an experienced Creative Lead to join this new team. It’s a full-time position, reporting to the Head of Marketing in China Brand Hub, based in Shanghai.


What you will do

As Creative Lead you are part of a diverse Marketing team that collaborates across roles to reach shared goals. In your role you ensure that H&M is utilising the full power of creativity as a way to grow the brand in China. You adapt global strategies to fit the Chinese market and you inspire external and internal creatives to elevate results and drive customer engagement. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·       Participate in setting customer-centric brand and business unit strategies & plans for H&M in China

·       Liaise with Global Creative teams to ensure global standards in China execution

·       Develop creative strategies that are aligned with, and drive, brand goals

·       Giving creative direction with clear priorities to colleagues or external partners

·       Promote a positive and open environment where opinions, views and ideas are shared

·       Participate in assignment scoping/briefing when initiating new activities and projects

·       Lead collaborative idea generation with internal and external creative teams

·       Participate in presentations and approvals to ensure alignment with strategy

·       Proactively bring innovative new ideas and explore growth opportunities

·       Build and nurture relationships with creative agencies and creative talent

·       Visualizing concepts and ideas

·       Learn a lot, make an impact, have fun


Who you are

?        8+ years’ experience from senior creative direction roles, agency or client side

?        Proven track record of delivering and executing creative strategies that drive business results

?        Experience of leading, motivating and coaching other creatives to reach shared goals

?        Strong knowledge and understanding of fashion marketing & creative

?        Customer-centric approach and ability deliver omnichannel solutions

?        Ability to communicate direction and strategy, prioritize and take decisions to reach goals

?        Solid understanding of all disciplines within branding & marketing

?        Deep knowledge of all disciplines and trends within the creative field

?        Results-driven entrepreneurial spirit that dare to innovate and challenge status quo.

?        Experience from large companies and international environments

?        Ability to communicate fluidly in both Chinese & English
