Intel DCG DEG is looking for a FPGA design engineer to lead multidisciplinary design and development of FPGA hardware supporting DCG's cloud computing, reference boards, and commercial initiatives.The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end FPGA design activities and will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:1. Work closely with platform architect, board designer and software designer to understand/define the architecture requirements2. Develop the design specification which fulfills the requirements.3. Drive device selection decision 4. On-time delivery of the RTL design 5. Collaborate with verification engineers on module-level verification and test case definition6. Drive the entire back-end design flow including design constraints, floor-plan and timing closure7. FPGA validation and issue debug on the real hardware8. Collaborate with peers and mentor junior design engineers9. Provide accurate and timely project schedule estimates
1. Must have a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ElectricalEngineering or related fields2. Minimum 6 years' experience as a FPGA design Engineer3. In depth knowledge with Verilog, System Verilog, RTL design, FPGA design, and FPGA design tools.4. In depth knowledge with high speed serial protocols such as PCIe/Ethernet5. Familiar with UVM constrained random coverage driven concepts, assertion based verification and functional coverage techniques6. Excellent problem solving and hands-on debugging skills7. Excellent communications skills8. Team oriented; strong inter-personal skills and ability to understand customer needs, expectations and perspective 9. Demonstrated ability to multitask on multiple projects
