As Project Manager for Solar's Engineering products, this person should have comprehensive experience in furniture products, preferably in cabinets, racks and storage product, using materials like wood and timber, and metal.

• Cost and risk management, process of quality & production process and solutions,
• Merchandising and Sourcing

                    

    

This position will drive projects and solutions aligned with new product development strategies, and communicate with clients.  It will also lead sourcing results, product development, quality control, and merchandising, to ensure on-time, on-quality shipment of all production & development samples. Effective client and team communication, working closely with our existing teams in Dongguan, Guangzhou and Vietnam.  Improve supply capability, product and price competitiveness, and driving the process and value-chain improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

• 5 years working experience in merchandising, sourcing/purchasing in furniture related industry, school supply industry product is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of market analysis, furniture products sourcing strategy, supplier relationship management ‘should-cost’ models, and multi-year negotiation strategies, supplier continuous improvement programs/Lean Initiatives
• Passionate, Curious and Resourceful with Strong ability to find creative solutions that benefit the Customer’s requirements, working with Compliance, Packing, Quality Management, Supplier Capabilities and Costing
• Knowledge on competitors, industry benchmarking, be sensitive to the market
• Good knowledge of compliance, testing and QC standards and packing requirements
• Proven ability to collect data, analyze and create reports
• Excellent communication skill and good in both verbal and written English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially excel) and Office365
• Strong interest and curiosity to develop your capabilities, skills and experience
• Able to travel as per business needs
