Position Summary

This role is responsible for product registration and/’or product notification of products sold under the Natura & Co Brands in China. The RA Specialist is expected to understand the requirements of current & emerging regulations governing cosmetic product registration and product notification and execute accurately ensure market access of Natura & Co products.

He/she is the principal regulatory liaison with Brand RA and R&D; providing guidance on labeling requirements (such as mandatory Chinese warning statements and Chinese INCI ingredient list) for label artwork development and subsequently review and approves final artworks. He/she also provides regulatory support for Home products and Beauty Accessories.

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist reports directly to Head of RA China & Taiwan with dotted reporting to Brand Regulatory Affairs.

Key Requirements:

Good practical understanding of China cosmetic regulations including new developments and emerging trend.

Strong technical background particularly in interpreting & meeting the technical documentation requirements for product registration/product notification. Experience in dealing with regulatory officers and government laboratory officers with good negotiation skill.

Duties:

1. Responsible for notification of Natura & Co Brand ordinary cosmetic products

- Collaborate with contract manufacturer in obtaining production samples & production record. Coordinate for government laboratory testing

- Notification submission including document preparation, monitor progress and highlight any non-supportability risk

Manage provide information to the business as needed regarding timeline and status of product registrations

2. Review cosmetic product formula (check compliance to IECIC, IECSC and China Hygiene Standards), labelling & packaging to meet China regulatory compliance requirements. This includes providing Chinese INCI ingredient listing for development of Chinese artworks and their final review & approval.

3. Maintain a data base of the outcomes of previous notifications to avoid reproducing the same problem with similar ingredients.

4. Regulatory support for Home and Beauty Accessories including review of applicable national standards and labelling compliance.

Qualification & Experience :

- Bachelor of Science degree, major in pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry or related disciplines

- 3-5 year working experience in regulatory affairs with focus on cosmetic product registration/ product notification

- Has good understanding on China cosmetic regulations and product registration/product notification requirements

- Good oral & written English language skill

- Able to work under time pressure and good project management skill

- Good interpersonal skill and ability to communicate effectively with Natura & Co and their Brand representative internal cross-functional stakeholders, third party contract manufacturers and Regulatory Authorities
