Job Responsibilities:

1. Determine country harmonized tariff codes to imported merchandise and maintain classification data in SAP and Amber Road
2. Main point of contact to China Customs in resolution of any Trade Compliance issues with the support of local management team
3. Trade analysis focusing on preferential tariff programs
4. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
5. Oversee preparation submission, and administration of import and export licenses, agreements, and miscellaneous correspondence to cognizant government agencies.
6. Customs Compliance Manual- Document established processes and procedures for Import and Export operations. Monitor for effectiveness.
7. Ensures the clearance process for imports and exports are properly managed to avoid flags, risk and intervention from Customs and other government agencies.
8. Avoids the detainment of international shipments by communicating with service providers and creating required documentation to clear Customs.
9. Maintain knowledge on regulatory updates and proposed changes by taking on-line training courses, webinars, seminars and in-house training classes.
