· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or similar is highly desired;

· Experience achieving strong outcomes working with China based suppliers;

· Chinese and English language speaking and written proficiency;

· Ideally 3 years’ experience in a fast paced procurement function (preferably mining) with a background in end-to-end sourcing processes;

· Efffective problem solving, analysis and communication skills with an ability to build strong working relationships;

· Strong self-management skills with an ability to effectively manage priorities;

· Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilise data to inform decision making;

· Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members;

· Act at all times in accordance with Fortescue’s Values

· Work proactively as part of a procurement team focused on providing exceptional customer service to deliver commercial support to the business;

· Work with stakeholders to resolve issues, monitor supplier performance and negotiate contract variations;

· Validate stakeholder business needs, compile and source market information and assess risk to inform procurement planning;

· Assist in sourcing processes and negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements including commercial analysis and evaluation;

· Contribute to the resolution of contractual issues by developing and maintaining effective supplier relationships;

· Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks to enable the organisation to meet its obligations and maximise business opportunities;

· Perform any other duties that are required due to business needs.
