Essential Requirements and Specifications of the Job:
1. Familiarity with IMDG, IATA, GHS, OSHA, DOT regulations.
2. Ability to compile and analyze data and prepare reports from the data. Requires visual acuity, reading skills, mathematical skills, and analytical skills.
3. Ability to organize, review, analyze and file paperwork, which requires:
a. Ability to accurately read and comprehend words and numbers without transposing or confusing numbers. The ability to create graphs and charts from numbers.
b. Ability to discern between various categories and classifications of information in order to discern how to file, categorize documents.
c. Able to access file cabinets, desks, and shelves.
d. Able to repetitively grasp, lift, and carry documents, files, ledgers, computer print-outs, boxes weighing up to 30 pounds each.
4. Ability to organize, package, store, ship and receive materials used on jobs which requires:
a. Ability to organize and keep an inventory of materials.
b. Ability to access shelves (up to 6 feet tall), boxes, warehoused pallets.
c. Ability to repeatedly grasp, and move empty drums, five gallon pails, boxes of supplies and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
d. Ability to perform these tasks in various Rinchem facilities and at remote facilities.
5. Able to use a computer system which requires the ability to finger and feel.
6. Ability to observe work in and around hazardous materials, in flammable storage and work areas, within hazardous materials remediation sites, at emergency response scenes.
7. Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office environment.
8. Ability to communicate with outside vendors, customers, providers, other Rinchem employees which require verbal, written communication skills. Also requires the ability to establish a personal rapport with people.
9. Ability to schedule, plan, prioritize, and set goals in connection with chemical handling.
10. Ability to drive an automobile safely and in accordance with the traffic laws.
a. Requires extensive sitting and ability to tolerate shaking, vibration and jarring movements.
b. Requires visual acuity for both far and near objects, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
c. Requires ability to push, pull, and grasp driving controls, and repetitive right foot control.
d. Requires various neck positions, including looking side to side and looking down. Also may require extended periods of static neck positions.
11. Ability to write/type correspondence, memos, and reports.
12. Ability to operate a photo copier, which requires the ability to manipulate documents and to operate controls on the photo copier.
13. Requires physical activities including the exertion of medium force (up to 50 pounds) occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
14. Requires climbing -- ascending and descending (stairs, ladders, etc.) using feet and legs and/or legs and arms. Must possess agility.
15. Requires balance -- must be able to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving
surfaces.
16. Requires stooping —- must be able to bend downward and forward. Must be able to use the full lower body extremities.
17. Requires kneeling – must be able to bend legs at knees to come to rest on knee(s).
18. Requires crouching – must be able to bend downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
19. Requires crawling – must be able to move about on hands and knees and/or hands and feet.
20. Requires reaching –- must be able to extend arms and hands in any direction.
21. Requires handling – must be able to seize, hold, grip, or otherwise work with hands.
22. Requires frequent exposure to hazards including:
a. frequent exposure to moving, mechanical parts.
b. occasional exposure to electrical shock.
c. occasional work in high, exposed places.
d. occasional exposure to radiant energy.
e. occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
Principal Duties:
1. Process all receivers and warehouse transfers.
2. Log receivers in both the Chemical Tracking Log and in Receiver Log for end of month billing.
3. Provide end of month billing for all customers.
4. Maintain order sheet files for Rinchem and other customers.
5. Generate pick tickets based on the customer orders. Entry includes data entry of orders, allocation of lots and the final shipping of products in the system.
6. Check outbound loads to paperwork for verification of lot numbers and quantities.
7. Corrections to pick up tickets and BOL orders must be done – barring any unforeseen problems with the computer system and/or problems with the lot numbers that the CSR does not have knowledge to remedy.
8. Maintain files with paperwork as it is processed.
9. Communicate with facility managers and all other appropriate personnel to ascertain any problems encountered during previous shift.
10. All other duties as assigned.
