职位描述
Reporting to Manufacturing Director Asia, this position is aimed towards ensuring EHS and product quality compliance at manufacturing site in Asia. It will contribute to provide manufacturing support by applying best practices to enable the Epoxy business and manufacturing sites to achieve the level of performance consistent with business plans and economic drivers. It will be responsible to transfer Epoxy manufacturing technology and procedures into site operation capability, achieve and sustain world class EHS performance, maintain and/or improve all KPIs, leading/lagging indicators, etc.
Accountabilities:
EHS
- Attend Safety Studies (e.g. HAZOP, PSSR) as manufacturing representative together with PSM specialist for new project in Asia, include the wholly owned site /JV/tolling
- Coordinate and participate in audits/safety round/incident investigation as initiated by Momentive
- Assess Process Safety aspects when developing SOP's and initiating changes
Commissioning and startup
- Develop and review commissioning and startup manual and get input from technical team, make sure the related site can conduct commissioning and startup activities safely and meet the design conditions.
- Site presence support for the new process commissioning and startup.
- Lead and supervise commissioning and startup activities (including pre-startup safety review)
Productivity and Manufacturing Cost
- Under the guidance of related global recourse, Implement Process/SOP/formulation improvement to reduce cycle time, and increase capacity etc.
- Support to keep stable production with good quality
- Drive structural improvements of plant's KPI's, through 6-Sigma RTA pipeline where applicable.
- Lead and execute process improvement studies (e.g. to improve yields, reduce waste, reduce cycle time, increase capacity)
Quality
- Contribute to solve internal and customer complaints and make improvement proposals
- Increase First Time Prime rate of products by analyzing process failure root causes and proposing solutions to overcome them
- Set up and implement SQC/SPC for site process monitoring and improvement.
- Lead or participate in RCA (root cause analysis) of quality incidents or recurring problems.
- Coordinate for QA/QC implementation program for tolling project.
Plant changes & Project Engineering
- Initiate projects required to meet plant targets
- Manufacturing representative in new project development activities, supporting Technology and Projects & Engineering in project definition and execution'
- Participate in plant change & projects when applicable
- Monitor & drive execution of plant changes & projects
- Contribute to innovations with PT&D and R&D
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Master's Chemistry/Chemical Engineering degree from a Technical University
- Above 7 years of working experience in the (petro) chemical / fine chemical production environment, Work experience in chemical plant (global and international companies)
- Good communication,
- Proven experience in process improvement and optimization activities
- Thorough job expertise. Capabilities and interest to learn and increase expertise further
Required additional skills
- Fluent in Chinese and English, both oral and written.
- Preferably Korean language skills
- Strong focus on safety
