Job Description:
2,Establishes and enforces Quality Plans for all products at all China-based suppliers.
3,Coordinates and manages Quality Plan related documentation (Both supplier and internal), including: D/PFMEA, DQTP, IQC, OQC, Work Instructions, Reliability Test Plans, CAP, Customer Audits, etc.
4,Provides Quality support to NPD, Sustaining Eng'g and Supply Chain teams.
5,Works with Product Mgmt., Engineering, Marketing and Operations to create an integrated approach to quality specification, quality control & monitoring and reliability.
6,Ensures that CTQs are identified and implemented for all new and existing products.
7,Helps to develop and implement best practices and robust processes for analyzing product returns, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
8,Tracks CAP (Corrective Action Plan) implementation with the suppliers and works with Product Managers, Project Engineers and Suppliers to set priorities for Product Improvement.
9,Participates in New Supplier Qualification processes to ensure Total Quality Mgmt. systems exist and are maintained to meet all our end-customer needs.
Responsibilities:
· 40% - Reduce costs via quality initiatives and holding suppliers accountable for day to day quality issues and preventative maintenance, including identifying and executing cost reduction as they relate to quality (reduced scrap, productivity, etc..).
· 30% - Work with NPD team closely to support new product development with an emphasis on quality and schedule.
· 20% - Follow up with Suppliers to drive accountability for Quality Plan Dashboards, Product Specs, Test Plans, CTQs, QC/QA procedures, Reliability Testing, Returns Analysis, CAP, etc.
· 10% - Maintaining current and developing new supplier relationships.
Operating Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
1,Must have a good understanding of ISO9000, ISO14000, QS9000, TL9000, APQP, D/PFMEA, MSA, SPC, GR&R, PPAP, Lean, Six Sigma, EHS, etc.
2, Must be an organized self-starter with very strong decision-making ability.
3,Must have a strong persistence to debate and challenge the cross-functional environment for the above described duties and responsibilities.
4, Must possess effective interpersonal skills.
5,Demonstrated experience of working within a Quality Systems Management project environment.
6,High level of project co-ordination skills with the successful project implementation and delivery within agreed objectives, budget and timeframes.
7,Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to analyze complex information.
8,Experience developing and implementing quality assurance/quality control programs.
9,Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
10,Confident and clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals across all levels and functions.
Training & Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
Experience Requirements: Min. 10-15 years of experience in quality management, manufacturing engineering, production, product development, and supply chain management. Technical and Manufacturing experience with motors, PCBA, electronic controls for motorized and heated appliances, firmware, plastic injection molding, assembly line, design qualification, regulatory and reliability testing, production planning and lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
