The Role Responsibilities:

    

The Director, Project Management / Supply Chain Finance in support of Vendor Management Team is a senior role to manage the VPP / TPM related projects and provide leadership on key strategic initiatives in select markets, given their complexity and senior stakeholder engagement required (e.g. Buyer clients, Deep Tier Supplier Finance initiatives, 3rd party platform partnerships relating to VPP, ownership of associated DOIs for outsourced processes, ORF updates, coordination with other expanded project support team etc.). The preferred candidate should be someone who enjoys driving change and innovation.    

    

The key responsibilities of the role will be to:

    

  1. Lead and manage VPP /TPM projects and VMT support teams in GBS at global level to ensure, fast and efficient supplier enrolment, and drive revenue realisation and utilisation of the portfolio, ensuring that available resources are allocated to the highest returning opportunities in line with group strategic priorities.
  2. Being a key project team member to provide leadership for VMT involvement in key markets and strategic, complex initiatives (e.g. DTSF, 3rd party platform partnerships) and ensure necessary controls and mitigants are clearly documented for the same.
  3. Define and execute VPP strategy, support VPP related projects, and drive continuous improvement for supplier program marketing and enrolment effectiveness and efficiency to further enhance the VPP/VMT value proposition, simplify and digitise the VPP/VMT model in coverage markets and share or act upon best practices.
  4. Build strong relationships with program anchor buyers, key country business/functional heads/regional stakeholders across Product, Coverage/Sales, Implementation, set up teams and 2nd line functions to ensure alignment with global VMT business processes, policies and control measures.
  5. Ensure a high performing GBS VMT support team – provide leadership, training and coaching to help develop the in-country GBS VMT support team and strengthen the partnership with expanded VMT support team, e.g. those in India GBS hub.
  6. Bring market insights and suppliers needs related to coverage markets to assist with system enhancement for better supplier experience.
  7. Be poised to lead and manage the business transformation needs in the VPP / TPM supplier enrolment space including digitization and ramping up of services.    

    

Key KPIs

    

  • VPP portfolio utilization – Annual assigned utilization percentage depending on global supply chain finance revenue target.
  • Revenue realization Targets – Assigned country revenue target for all existing and new mandates.
  • Regional VPP portfolio returns.
  • Programme level supplier sign-up ratio and TAT.
  • Prompt roll out of key strategic initiatives relating to VPP e.g. DTSF, 3rd party partnerships, new innovations e.g. e-signature at a country level etc.
  • Strong adoption rate for digital solutions and new value proposition innovation.
  • Continuous improvement in VMT process related DOI and TAT in compliance with bank’s control measures and policies.
  • Building a high performing team.

1. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.    

2. Experience in leading/driving change including strong project and process management skills.    

3. Strong people management skills.    

4. Strong sales and interpersonal skills with an ability and knowledge to articulate supply chain finance and VPP program benefits.    

5. Ability to negotiate and understand legal agreements supporting supply chain finance solutions.    

6. Strong SCF, Cash and FX product knowledge.    

7. Strong project management, analytical and program marketing skills.    

8. Language skill – proficient in English and Mandarin. Additional language is plus.    

9. Minimum 10 years work experience in banking or other relevant financing/credit/sales roles.
