Purpose

The Finance Manager oversees the finance and accounting functions of the Outlet’s operation side. This role works closely with Centre Director and Finance HQ to drive and lead the financial management of the Outlet’s operation. The role requires seasoned and all rounded financial knowledge and hands-on skills obtained from prior working experiences. The role reports to Centre Director and dot line reports to Finance HQ.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for the Operation side’s financial reporting. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial statements, in compliance with CAS and internal control policies

• Responsible for the proper functioning of the Outlet’s central cashier, with help from Retail and Operation departments

• Responsible for daily sales report and weekly reports

• Lead and manage the Outlet’s finance team and ensure the daily finance functioning ( e.g. payments/cashier) is in good shape

• Ensure tenants billing is accurate and control the procedures of tenants reimbursement

• Lead the preparation of the operation budget and financial forecasts and report variances through monthly management reporting

• Reconcile differences between statutory and management reports in a monthly basis

• Monitor, manage and ensure compliance with financial covenants/bank control procedures under the banking facilities

• Liaise with external auditors and tax bureau officers

• Manage tax affairs and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to income tax returns, VAT and surtax, etc.

• Assist in the development, updating and maintenance of policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls

• Help with various finance analysis to the top management

• Help with other tasks as required

Organizational Chart

Role is managed by the Centre Director and has an indirect reporting line to the Senior Finance Manager in RDM. This role will manage AP and AR and Tax accountant.

Knowledge and Skills:

• University graduate with finance or accounting background

• Must have accounting intermediate title (会计中级职称), with CPA a plus

• Strong understanding of CAS (企业会计准则)

• 7+ years of working experiences including at least a minimum of 3 years management level experiences from retail sector, with exposures to central cashier services a plus

• Excellent communications (verbal & written) and collaborative skills in Chinese (Putonghua) and good at English

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, excellent in MS Excel and MS Word, with exposures to Kingdee EAS a plus

• Experienced in tax issues including VAT filing and CIT reconciliations

• Highly detail oriented and sensitive to numbers

• Strong sense of ownership, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong leadership, integrity, self-discipline

• Detail minded with good problem solving skill

• A dedicated team member who is willing to work on overtime and go the extra mile
