Job Description
Seeking technically minded professional with multiple years of experience managing cross-functional development projects. Role requires traditional project management expertise (project planning, budgeting, problem solving and prioritization of tasks). The scope of the projects expands cross-functionally across all parts of the business (Engineering, Operations, and Sales & Marketing). Status reporting and regular communications to Sr. Mgt and customers required. Thus, the ideal candidate is expert at project management and has an understanding of supply chain and manufacturing basics, the ability to influence sales & marketing associates and can lead discussions with customers.
Key Responsibilities in Detail:
1. Key point of contact with customer and commercial team to understand needs and frequent interactions to align the expectations
2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sourcing, production, commercial, marketing, etc.)to develop new products & projects such as discovery/proof of concept
3. Manage the project plan & deliverables
4. Status reporting and regular communications to Sr. Mgt and customers
5. Adhere to the new product development process
Essential Skills:
1. Prior professional experience in Operations, Engineering or Product Development roles
2. Strong Project Management Skills (project planning, budgeting, problem solving and prioritization of tasks) with focus on resource allocation, costing, execution & timelines
3. Leadership, ability to influence and lead groups of people to follow and support direction
4. Strong communication skills, internally at all levels and with customers. Good verbal and written skills in English
5. Prior experience/exposure to working in a global environment involving interactions & travel to other locations
6. Ability & willingness to travel locally, nationally or internationally as required
Desired skills
1. Experience in the context of overall product life cycle management in the consumer goods or food/beverage industry is highly desirable
2. Exposure to process tools like Six Sigma, APQP, etc.
