We are an innovative biotechnology company located in Chengdu. We use antibody
repertoire guided approach to discover and develop better antibodies with improved
function - with the goal of improving patient outcomes and quality of life, and we have
an excellent opportunity in the Discovery Biology Department for a group leader in
genomics and bioinformatics. In this position, you will lead a group of scientists and
participate in study of preclinical and clinical samples using high throughput platforms
such as OMICS technologies and perform integrative bioinformatics analysis of internal
and external ‘big-data’ datasets leading to new disease pathways and discovery and
validation of novel targets or mechanism of action of lead candidates in disease
models.

Responsibilities
? Lead development and execution of strategies for integrative analysis and
interpretation of ‘big-data’ from clinical samples, preclinical models and
functional genomics.
?Effectively collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of molecular biologists,
computational biologists to design and interpret new experiments to elucidate
MoA, resistance and opportunities for drug combinations.
Align strategies and research priorities with scientific leadership.
? Closely collaborate with oncology scientists to interpret large complex data sets
for new target and biomarker discovery, MoA and efficacy studies.
Develop and execute strategies for mining of integrated data for novel targets
and combinations and design strategies for follow-on experiments.
? Work closely with discovery teams and translational leads to identify patient
populations and biomarkers for early clinical trials.
Present scientific and technical data to both internal and external colleagues in a
clear and cohesive manner.
? Contribute to external recognition of research at Huiyu through publications in
top tier journals.

Basic Qualifications
? Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or related
fields with at least 5 years of post-doctoral experience.
? Proven record of conducting an independent and collaborative research.
? Excellent record of leading and contributing to cross-disciplinary projects and
working in large teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and ability to lead in a matrix
organization
? Fluency in programming and scripting languages is required (R, Python, …) in
UNIX/LINUX environment.
In depth knowledge of integrative omics analysis, next generation sequencing,
data mining, complex data analysis and statistics.
? Experience in cancer research, including deep understanding of computation
approaches for cancer genome analysis and single cell sequencing
technologies.
Experience processing and interpreting large genomics data sets.
? Experience in developing and applying computational systems biology
approaches.
? Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and
capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop
and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve
meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
