OVERVIEW:

Gates is building a Global Leading Practice Template (GLPT) on our SAP S/4 HANA environment and integrated to 3rd-party Global solutions on varied technologies.

The scope requires alignment with Gates Global Process Owners (GPOs), Regional Process Owners (RPOs) and SAP IT Center of Excellence (COEs) to drive the design and build of the GLPT based on Gates Global guiding principles, policies, processes, procedures and master data for SAP deployments in APAC. The GLPT scope also includes global harmonization of master data (Materials, Customers and Vendors) by working closely with the Global Product Line Management (GPLMs) and Global Product Engineering leads.

It is a pre-requisite for the successful candidate to have strong and effective communication and collaboration skills with the global and regional teams in a complex matrix organization. Ideally, the candidate would also have prior experiences in building a greenfield GLPT. This will require strong consulting skills, complex solution design, extensive business process knowledge (finance, planning and/or logistics) and very strong proven Program, Project Management and transformational change management experiences.

This position will also require very strong end-to-end SAP Program and Project Management and experiences – gained from successfully driving and delivering SAP Projects in a Global Manufacturing environment. It would be beneficial that the candidate has prior SAP Configuration experience (in any SAP module) – before moving into a SAP regional leadership role. 

Our APAC geographical scope includes manufacturing plants in China (Suzhou, Changzhou & WGQ), Japan, Thailand and India (Lalrul, Pune, Faridabad and Chennai) with sales offices in Singapore, Japan, Australia and Korea. The successful candidate needs to able to communicate fluently in English and Mandarin and have extensive regional exposure in these countries.

This position is also a people manager who is responsible for building a regional SAP IT COE organization and SAP Implementation teams.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The SAP APAC Program lead specific responsibilities will fall into 3 primary areas:

GLPT Design, Build and Maintenance

Work with the GPOs and their respective RPOs in the design, build and maintenance of the SAP GLPT. The SAP functional modules include, but not limited to:           

• SAP FI & CO
• SAP SD (including Pricing)
• SAP GTS
• SAP PP
• SAP MM
• SAP WM / eWM
• SAP QM
• SAP APO/IBP or any 3rd-party advanced planning & optimization solution such Oracle VCP, I2 etc
• SAP MDM or any 3rd-party MDM solution such as BOA.  
• SAP integration with 3rd-party solutions such as Concur, Oracle VCP.
• SAP integration with mobile devices.

Governance

• Working with the GPOs & RPOs to develop/enhance the guiding principles defined in the Business Decision Documents (BDDs).
• Working with the GPOs/RPOs to provide stringent governance of the BDDs and GLPT to new full-cycle SAP roll-out projects, enhancement projects, and helpdesk tickets to ensure process, data, reports and methodology compliance.
• Build a global and regional Governance organization. 

Deployment

• Build and drive  APAC SAP Deployment teams – with a mixed team of internal SAP team, 3rd party consultants, wider Gates IT and Gates internal business (Power Users/End Users) in the implementation of the Gates GLPT across the APAC sites, plants and business locations.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: 

§  This position will require extensive hands-on SAP Programme and Project Management knowledge and experience in a Global Enterprise-wide SAP system (S/4HANA preferred).

§  Ideally will have prior SAP Configuration experience (any module) – before moving into the SAP leadership role.

§  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience of working in a Global IT COE Organization.
• Minimum of 10 full-cycle ERP Go Live projects - with at least 5 end-to-end projects completed in the role of PM
• Must have business process experiences related to manufacturing companies specifically in process and discrete manufacturing industries
• Must have experience in managing 3rd-party consultants and consultancies on SAP deployment projects
• Must have extensive hands-on experiences in project methodologies & implementation.
• Must have prior people management experience in building a regional COE organization and managing implementation teams.    
• Must be willing and capable of learning new skills, technology and knowledge related to job functions.
• This position requires prior experiences in operating in complex global IT organizational structures.

• Must have fluent bilingual (English and Mandarin) communication skills. 

• Participated in multiple multinational/multicultural Go-Live projects in manufacturing industry  and have fulfilled different roles through years of experience with hands-on process definition/mapping, systems configuration, data migration, organizational change management, project methodology compliance, integration plan development, team/project leadership and developed into full Project Management Roles.
• Prior team building and management experience highly desirable.
