DNV Software is a commercial software house within DNV serving more than 3000 customers all over the world from our offices in 10 countries. We are market leader in software development for design, strength assessment, risk analysis, asset life cycle management and knowledge-based engineering. With a dedicated staff of 260 employees we develop state of the art software products for the maritime, offshore and process industries as well as customized solutions. DNV Software is a major supplier of strategic technical software to DNV.
Sesam is a life cycle management system delivering strength assessment and operational management from design to operation to decommissioning. Sesam covers a structure's entire life cycle delivering engineering software support in design, structural re-analysis systems, modifications and repair, input to the operational phase, emergency response and decommission.
DNV Software has identified a large market for these applications in Region Asia Pacific and Middle East and is looking to recruit a customer focused and market oriented Business Development Manager to join our Business Development team based in Shanghai. Working closely with other Business Development Managers, the successful applicant will take specific responsibility for working with our network of Sales Executives to grow the market for the Sesam products, initially focusing on this Region.

Responsibilities
Working within DNV Software,s Business Development Department and reporting to Regional Business Development Manager, the successful applicant will take responsibility for the Sesam business development plan for the APAC & ME Region. This will include the provision of locally focused sales and marketing collateral and appropriate training to facilitate the Regional Sales organization in building a sales pipeline and successfully taking Sesam products to market. In addition, the successful applicant will be part of the Sesam Business Development team and may be delegated specific global tasks and will be expected to contribute to the strategic and tactical development plans for Sesam Products (with a Regional focus). We are looking to recruit a market oriented person with previous practical experience with some or all of the relevant technologies, preferably with some exposure to the business development and product management concepts and processes within a software house environment. The successful candidate is likely to have at least 5 years relevant experience.
Key responsibilities include:
? Creation and management of Regional Sesam Business Development plan
? Co-ordinate regional business development and market needs with stakeholder groups (DNV Software Management, Sesam Product Management)
? Implementation of strategic sales and marketing campaigns and events with appropriate colleagues in Regional Sales
? Support Regional sales effort
? Build sales team,s product and domain competence
? Sales as and when required
This position requires contact with clients and other DNV offices in the Region and is likely to require significant international travel. The successful applicant will be well organized with the ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload.

Qualifications
? Educated to degree level in a scientific or engineering discipline
? At least 5 years relevant experience
? Good understanding of the software product life cycle, product management and business development processes
? Experience with the practical application and analysis of some of the following:
? Sesam - GeniE, HydroD, DeepC, etc.
? Hydrodynamic analysis
? Structural analysis
? Fatigue analysis
? Mooring and Riser analysis
? Well organized and systematic with good people and presentation skills.
? Excellent communication and presentation skills and a flexible attitude to achieving targets and solving problems
? Able to build good relationships internally and with the external market
? Sales oriented, market and customer focused
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team
? Ability to prioritize and organize work according to defined priorities
? Fluency in English; ability to communicate in other languages would be a significant advantage, particularly Mandarin
