Role Summary/Purpose

SW Test Engineer for NPI's relative to valve diagnostics, low cost valve positioner, Fieldbus positioner, and Smart pressure relief valve technology.

Essential Responsibilities

As a Software Test Engineer, you will work in New Product R&D team to participate in verification/validation testing for device, software and system for product and service for process automation industries. You will work in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline, fast-paced and global environment. This position reports to the head of the Software Group. As a Software Testing Engineer, you will: • Be responsible for V&V plan, test cases design and V&V procedures development. • Implement V&V plan and responsible for the report. • Responsible for improving V&V effectiveness. • Work with Lead V&V, Software Manager to understand product requirements. • Successfully communicate project plans, tracking details, status updates to stake holder.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of IT or engineering experience). • At least 2 years of experience in software quality control and quality assurance processes.

Desired Characteristics

• 8+ years experience in software validation and verification test. • Proven experience with all Win32, .NET platforms • Knowledge of software development process and test procedure • Experience with Web Service automated test tool (e.g. Selenium, TestComplete) is a plus. • Experience with Agile methodology is a plus • Proven experience with test case design. • Labview or other automated testing tool experience is a plus. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment • Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form • Able to travel globally for global team project development. • Familiar with process automation related technical regulations and standards. • Hardware aptitude
