Role Summary/Purpose

The IMA platform validation and verification lead will manage a team of engineers in the validation and verification of GE AVIC joint venture Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) platform. This role requires strong communications and management skills with a background in IMA related technologies.

Essential Responsibilities

•Lead a worldwide team of avionics systems engineers in the validation and verification of IMA platform system requirements and architecture •Develop and manage the team to meet cost, schedule, scope, and deliverable goals •Support service programs, fulfillment, and New Product Introduction (NPI) •Lead team meetings, provide status reports, and provide team metrics on a weekly basis •Manage V&V execution and team's performance •Establish and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are achieved •Establish, modify, and monitor overall engineering program requirements, timing, and resources for the team to meet and exceed business objectives and goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

•Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required •Bachelor or above Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science •Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management and supplier or customer interface •Minimum of 3 years validation and verification experience •Commercial avionics system development experience •Avionics integration experience •Ability and willingness to travel between Shanghai, China and Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States to support team activities •Solid oral and written communication skills (English required)
