Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

The JV Airline Operations/Engagement Expert will be the primary focal for airline operations expertise and act as liaison to airline customers. In this role you will apply your airline operational expertise to help define product functional definitions and roadmaps. You will also serve as the interface to the airlines to receive the voice of the customer. Some of the specific areas of focus are: • Provide airline operational perspective to the design and development of new or updated avionics products • Work with Flight Deck Design Team to innovate new concepts for flight deck design • Work with potential and existing customers in applying existing designs or innovating new designs to meet customer needs. • Interact with airline operational organizations to understand customer desires and needs. • Review proposed systems designs and act as voice of the customer for those designs. • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college• Minimum of 5 years experience in an airline operations organization (ex. Flight Operations, Airline Operations Center/Dispatch, Flight Operations Training)• Willingness and ability to travel internationally.

• Commercial Pilot License/Dispatcher License or Equivalent• Airline Maintenance Organization Experience highly desired• Experience Serving as liaison to customer airlines• Self-motivated, driven, focused and results oriented• Strong Presentation Skills.• Proven record of successful development project execution• Leadership qualities – self-directed, confident presence, visionary, and team player• Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated customer relationship skills• Strong customer mind-set• Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge / skill areas needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem• Demonstrated process orientation in approach to work
