Job description
The primary purpose of the BIG DEAL SME is to develop long term deals in the Electronics Industry. Several (mainly Chinese) companies want to "go-global" and transform their business. These companies we target with our e2e global capabilities. Is aligned with Brand Sales, S&D and Industry teams.
Demonstrates strong business acumen, successful negotiation skills and strategic networking savvy to build and execute firm-wide strategies to meet overall revenue objectives.
Major Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
Drives new revenue by identifying, shaping and closing BIG DEALS (>50m$ / 5yrs)
Manages the complete sales cycle, including working with customers, prospects and the account team, from the prospecting stage through closing.
Identifies and analyzes underlying customer business and deal development issues
Build strong relationships with customers and create trust and confidence at multiple levels, including users, key contacts, managers and C-level executives, to increase win chance.
Required Skills:
Deep understanding of the Electronics Industry
Ability to discuss with LoB excutives the strategic issues, challenges & opportunities
Capable to develop and maintain Executive level relationships
Shaping and Closing BIG Deals at selected accounts
Mandarin speaking
MSc or BSc required; or other advance degree preferred.
Five years or more of experience in sales or consulting
Proven track record in shaping and closing BIG deals
Ability to operate in the highly complex IBM organisation of brands, industry vertical, countries etc.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to achieve strong sales, revenue and growth goals.
Outstanding negotiation skills
Thorough knowledge and understanding of IBM capabilities to help companies grow
Excellent presentation, writing and communications skills. Includes the ability to present complex solutions in a customer-facing environment in a communication style appropriate to the audience, which will include C-level executives.
High level of initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple activities and reprioritize when necessary to ensure revenue goals is achieved.
At least 5 years experience in experience in sales or consulting in the information technology industry for the Electronics industry
