Essential Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer - Interface Control Document (ICD) will be responsible for capturing and developing interface details for aircraft systems. In this role, you will: • Contribute as a key member of the avionics development team. • Learn about avionics development and system engineering processes • Capture interface requirements for aircraft systems interfacing to GE AVIC supplied systems. • Review interface requirements from external aircraft system suppliers against avionics and aircraft interface standards and specifications • Coordinate with GE AVIC teams and suppliers in development of interface requirements for GE AVIC supplied systems. • Coordinate resolution of interface requirements issues with OEM, internal teams, and suppliers. • Utilize GE AVIC ICD Toolset to enter ICD data and aid in GE AVIC integrated design. • Support SysML and UML modeling for the development of avionics systems

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or computer science from an accredited university or college • 1 - 3 years technical experience in avionics deveolpment, integration, or verification • Experience working in teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese

Desired Characteristics

• Working knowledge of commonly used aircraft communication protocols (ARINC 429, ARINC 664, ARINC 825, Ethernet, etc) • Working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts • Experienced in the use of SysML and UML for avionics product development • Experienced in requirements management using DOORS tools • Knowledge of configuration management concepts and commonly used tools (PTC Windchill, Serena Dimensions, etc) • Self-motivated, driven, focused and results oriented • Proven record of successful development project execution • Demonstrated process orientation in approach to work • Experience working on a global development team. • Experienced in RTCA DO-254 and DO-178B Level A civil hardware and software development programs. • Experienced in integrated avionics systems architectures including integrated processing, aircraft networks, crew interface systems.
