职位描述
The Application Engineering department supports the Thales IOT customer base implementing Cinterion module based applications.
The Application Engineer
- is responsible for directing customer support projects assigned to him.
- is responsible for achieving the agreed project objectives: timing, quality and costs.
- is responsible for planning the provision of the agreed services and for the preparation of necessary documentation to support customer projects.
- is working in his particular field of expertise for customer support projects. His task is to deliver the agreed services on time and with the agreed quality and levels of cost.
- is responsible to have, at any time, a good overview of the progress of his projects and to report any deviations from the goals.
- is responsible to maintain his level of expertise in his field, according to the latest technological advances and developments.
MAIN TASKS:
General
· Participation in the planning and selection of tools, measuring instruments and measurement systems
· Participation in creating guidelines for development and project work
· Conducting technical reviews, and their moderation
· Prepare and provide training for other functional units of our company, distributors and customers
· Participation in contribution to R&D development projects, mainly for customer feedback and prioritization
· Autonomously solve customer problems and verify the solutions by applying appropriate measures and tests
Customer projects:
· Planning and implementation of support, for the ongoing and qualifying measurements, in line with the agreed support contracts
· The analysis, measurements and evaluation of customer applications in his respective area of hardware and software expertise.
· Handling of customer requests in the context of customer-support projects
· Investigation of reported customer issues with a view to finding a solution to the problem
· Entering the identified product errors in to the Product Development-bug database
· Advisory support during the development and introduction of new products, for the development department
Customer project management:
· Implementation of delegated customer support projects, in cooperation with members of the AE, from other disciplines
· Control and implementation of the communication with the customer
· Selection of appropriate working methods for the efficient implementation of customer support projects
· Regular reporting on project status and forecasting the chance of success of customer support projects
· Reporting imminent risk, or critical situations, to the manager of Application Engineering.
