The ABB HSE Coordinator contribute to effective risk management and improving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in respective site.

- To serve on site as ABB’s prime interface with customer, authority, sub-contractors and site personnel, on all safety matters, support managers and employees to ensure area of responsibility compliant with HSE standards, regulations and guidelines. Prepare instructions and notices and assists with relevant training.
- Conduct HSE audits and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and risks and highlights corrective measures required, to carry on inspection and safety walk with client and sub-contractors.
- Responsible for independent and documented inspection of all fabrication and construction works including the work carried out by the vendors and closing up of safety findings, to establish and maintain an efficient program through planned and coordinate management function.
- Liaising between CLIENT, Project team and 3rd party agency, support implementation of HSE objectives, incident cause analyses within the respective organization, ensuring of construction safety is met with the requirement.
- Collect, analyse and report on HSE performance, identifies problems and makes suggestions to avoid repeating the problem in the future, collaborate with managers and employees in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment for HSE initiatives and performance.
- Prepare and maintain procedure to be reliable to client specification, ensure all documentations with regards to handling systems are kept in order and latest revision is used for the construction work on site.
- Prepare Risk assessment/ job safety analysis and organized safety meetings for relevant work, ensure workplace safety is in place and conduct routine safety walkthrough with contractor/ client to ensure implementation is in place, resolve and support sub-contractor on Safety related construction issues.

- Must have a Diploma/Degree in OHS or equivalent.
- Professional certification in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Area preferred (MOM certified HSE coordinator/ officer for Singapore project, Certified National Safety Engineer of PRC for China project and etc.) required.
- Minimum 8 years relevant HSE experience in construction industry, with experience/ Certification on ISO18001/ 14001.
- Should possess good in spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is desired.
