Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading and managing the mechanical engineering team of the Tianjin R&D Center of BU HEV, including daily disciplinary management, process, method and tool management, resource management, task management and performance management

• Responsible product scope: electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid vehicle motor drive systems, including motors, inverters and transmission device; 48V light to medium hybrid P0/P2/P4 motor drive system; high and low voltage DC/DC converters; high voltage battery management system and 48V battery system

• Responsible for leading and managing mechanical engineering related activities during product development, mechanical requirement engineering, Mechanical system architecture, mechanical component design, mechanical system integration, mechanical measurement and testing during product development, ensuring delivery on quality and on time

• Responsible for the budget and control of the annual and individual project development costs of the mechanical engineering team

• Responsible for competence building-up and CIP of the mechanical engineering team to fulfill the business needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical engineering, material engineering, automotive engineering or the other related

• More than 8 years’ mechanical design and related work experience, more than 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry R&D team leadership and management

• Strong technical communication skills, fluent oral English, and a skill in other language communication skills such as German, Japanese, Korean, etc. is a plus

• Familiar with auto parts product development and approval system and product development project management process

• Familiar with mechanical product requirements engineering, structural design, mechanical statics and dynamics simulation, mechanical optimization design, mechanical reliability design and mechanical testing

• Familiar with DFSS methodology and tooling: VOC, QFD, DoE and FMEA, etc.

• Experience in development of products similar to those in responsible product scope is plus;

• Familiar with GD&T, interchangeability and measurement technology, cumulative calculation of dimensional chain tolerances

• Experience in the application of two or more engineering materials (metals and engineering plastics), familiar with their manufacturing and processing processes

• Capability of products’ packaging and interface design in the upper systems, and product modules structural layout

• Familiar with mechanical FEA principle, understanding mechanical FEA tasks and understanding finite element analysis report

• Familiar with measurement and testing techniques for mechanical components and subsystems, covering dimensional and geometric tolerance measurements, material properties, mechanical strength, environmental and durability testing, and functional testing of mechanical components and subsystems, enabling the preparation of measurements, Test specifications and understanding measurement, testing, reading measurement, test results

• Possessing DFM analysis capabilities for motor or electronic controller products and mechanical support and problem-solving capabilities during industrialization and mass production

• Good leadership and team management skills
