Responsibilities:

• Administer and support the global Websphere MQ and Websphere TX environment

• Create and maintain documentation on environment and processes

• Coordination and training of key users (MPC and local IT)

• Present and implement solutions to troubleshoot problems, improve processes, stabilize the environment and enhance performance

• Member or lead of international project teams

• Project management (costs, resources, time)

• Ensure information flow between worldwide competence center

• Provide guidance to and share knowledge with team relating to area of specialization

• Assist in the configuration and administration of Websphere MQ

• Troubleshoot central Websphere TX environment

• Assist in performing maintenance, upgrades, backups / disaster recovery procedures

• Basic understanding of high availability (HA) solutions for Linux (e.g. Lifekeeper)

• Experienced in SQL development

• Knowledgeable in production processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree, Business, Information Technology, or relevant field

• Can speak English, Spanish a plus.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing Websphere MQ, Linux, SQL development (based on Oracle), Basic understanding of programming languages (PERL, Unix Shell Scripts)

• Knowledge in SAP, HP OpenView, HP ServiceManager, Websphere TX, Principles of HA solutions, JAVA

• Soft skills in High motivation, Communication and teamwork skills, Working in international teams, Quality awareness, Commitment, perseverance and flexibility, Self-dependent acting
