Role Summary/Purpose

This role is to provide leadership to materials management of Beijing plant strategically and tactically. Be Responsible for leading the team to meet and exceed all the department goals and objectives. As a change agent, work with the global functions and all stakeholders to lead the team to transform the materials management to best in class.

Essential Responsibilities

•Lead the team to achieve all department goals and objectives. •Lead the team to define the material flow and processes. •Work strategically with the operation leaders to drive systematic and physical process change in material flow management in a Lean Manufacturing environment. •Lean and Six-Sigma methodology to simplify and improve material transactions. •Drive for continuous inventory turn improvement and implement best practice to assure business targets are achieved. •Lead team to provide project leadership and support to cross-functional, global teams with the highest level of import and export compliance. •Develop expertise in import/export regulations and their application in various functional activities. •Manage relationships and processes with freight forwarder and 3rd party logistics provider. •Support digitization of current and new processes. •Drive continuous quality, compliance and productivity improvements. •Exhibit outstanding leadership and effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization including senior leadership. •Resource allocation •Global allocation of material •Establishing and maintaining a teamwork environment •Manage Materials & IE employees on the team, including conducting performance appraisals, setting goals & objectives and motivating team members •Leading the Export team in the daily operations of export orders through the distribution and shipment process •Supporting modality fulfillment teams to meet business goals & objectives •Interacting with global affiliates and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence & compliance •Responsible for freight forwarder and 3rd party logistics provider relationships and processes related to exports •Implementing and maintaining metrics, internal self audits & processes to ensure adherence to customs & GEHC export requirements •Site Lead for International Trade Compliance, Trade Collaborator. Drive continuous, digitization, productivity & compliance improvements •Developing & maintaining operational and compliance manuals and Standard Operating Procedures •Performing internal audits of GEHC processes that impact compliant import activities •Using Six Sigma methodology to develop rigorous project plans with milestones to ensure successful execution of process improvements •Responsible for timely filing of import reconciliations with CBP •Managing supplier billing and payment processes •Providing import data analysis for various functions •Liaison for CBP Preferential Trade Programs Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Knowledge and understanding of production process work instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications 5. Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHRs

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications: 1. Bachelors Degree and 8 years supply chain experience or HS diploma and 12 years supply chain experience 2. Proven ability to drive change in a matrix environment 3. Ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change
